HOLDING THE MOMENT

This delightful book deserves its title as it certainly held me captivated by its arrestingly timeless visual and verbal images and their integration achieved by a mother and daughter collaboration celebrating Blackmans Bay Beach. At just short of one hundred pages it’s a work that found me asking for more, speaking as it does, despite its size, volumes for the redemptive and healing powers of art in a troubled world which the very place name of this part of Tasmania so strongly evokes. “No matter how dark/the night/here comes the sun”, one of the haiku says it all.
