MAKING WAVES TASMANAN OARSWOMEN 1922-2022

Sandra Harvey, herself a Tasmanian and Australian rower, has selected a number of prominent Tasmanian female crews and oarswomen from 1922 to 2022, showcasing their pioneering stories of success against huge odds. She has included stories of the women who volunteered their time and support; for they too are an important part of Tasmania’s rowing history. The lives, struggles and victories of the trailblazing women rowers from the 1920s have left a legacy that is reflected in the dedication and professionalism of modern rowers. These stories will inspire young athletes to emulate – and exceed – the achievements of the female rowers of the past and present.
