WILDWOODS GREED

Having moved to Oakdale, Tula Birchall is saddened when her elderly relative, Mrs Teek, dies unexpectedly. However, she is able to buy her grandmother’s old house, Thornlea, and it is there, in her ancestral home that, with her cousin Carmel, she finds intriguing information concerning her family tree. Meanwhile the fight to save Blakedon Forest, the last pristine forest on Earth heats up, giving rise to petitions and protest meetings, one of which Tula organises with the help of Jason Hunter, the young man she rescues from the side of the road after an accident. Despite local and worldwide condemnation, the government, urged on by Cecil Darnell, passes harsh anti-protest laws and allows the logging to proceed. Loyalties are tested and friendships strained when it comes time to make a stand; and Tula’s riding lessons have unexpected consequences.
